With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and talented artist, Walter de Beer, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on the morning of July 1st, 2024.

Walter was more than just a promising young artist; he was a bright soul who left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His future in the industry was full of potential, and though his time with us was far too brief, his impact will be felt for years to come.

Known for his respect, kindness, and hard work, Walter's presence always brought a smile to our faces. His sharp intellect, insightful nature, and wicked sense of humour were a constant source of joy, brightening our days no matter the challenges.

Walter has now joined the ranks of the legendary, and his memory will live on in our hearts.

Rest in peace Walter.

The work I to do!

Walter de Beer

I go by Walt, though I have been called many names.

I decided I wanted to be a tattoo artist when I was 14 and then took the next 8 years convincing my parents it was a good idea.

I joined the industry in 2016. I have always had a deep love for the industry and have a great respect for the relationship between artist and client. I swear sometimes the sessions even almost feel like therapy sessions.

Style-wise I am still pretty fluid; on a journey to find my niche, however, I mainly gravitate towards black and Grey, and finer line designs. I pride myself on doing everything I do with enthusiasm and my specific flavour of OCD, so you can be sure that I treat every piece with attention to detail.

I love hearing the stories behind the tattoos (when there are ones) and appreciate getting to know each client on a personal level.

We are all but different paints in the tapestry of life and I love to see what beautiful colors come of our interactions.

Looking forward to hearing your ideas and making beautiful art and memories with you.
